Warehouse Shipping Lead
Location:Hazleton PA

Midway Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Shipping Lead to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution team. This position plays a key role in overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, verifying materials, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations.

Important: This role requires travel to Chicago for 4 weeks of paid training. All travel, lodging, and meals will be covered by the company.

Job Duties

• Oversee driver check-ins and dock assignments

• Prepare and verify shipping paperwork including bills of lading

• Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments

• Sort, label, log, and package inventory as needed

• Coordinate with carriers (including drop trailers) on documentation and procedures

• Ensure all shipment paperwork is signed and loads are properly closed in the system

• Enter customer orders and scan/index required documents

• Investigate and trace lost shipments or customer claims

• Communicate with customer service on any special shipping requirements

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to internal policies and safety procedures

• Update operations reports and support management as assigned

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of clerical, logistics, or shipping experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to type at least 40 WPM

• Strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills

• Positive phone and interpersonal demeanor

• Basic math, reasoning, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn internal systems

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in an indoor office/warehouse setting

• Ability to work over 8-hour shifts when needed and perform in high-pressure environments

• Must be able to travel for 4 weeks to Chicago for training (all expenses paid)
