CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Scranton, PA 18510 (Pennsylvania healthcare job)
• Facility Type: Hospital – CT Scan Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• End Date: November 18, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am), Weekender schedule (3x12s)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: 2-3 times every 2 weeks, typically before or after shift for an average of 4 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2020 - $2070

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT (CT) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Proficient in operating CT systems and related diagnostic imaging equipment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and independent work skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety and diagnostic imaging protocols

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and acquire high-quality digital images for diagnostic and treatment purposes
• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and imaging computer systems
• Prepare, position, and shield patients according to established imaging protocols
• Follow and maintain imaging standards, including ImageGently guidelines
• Conduct CT Interventional Procedures and CTA imaging (Carotid, Head, Vertebral, Run-Offs, PE, TAVR, EVAR, Cardiac imaging)
• Monitor and document radiation dose data to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
• Stay current with advances in pharmacology, physiology, and CT physics relevant to diagnostic imaging
